Outstanding awards for a research fellow at the 2008 World Congress of Interventional Oncology meeting in Los Angeles.

We are pleased to announce that Saad Ibrahim, the outgoing Interventional Oncology research fellow, was awarded both 1st AND 2nd place prizes for abstract/poster presentations at last week’s 2008 World Congress of Interventional Oncology meeting in Los Angeles.

While it would be a great achievement to win one award, given the significant national and international representation with >500 posters presented, it is extraordinary (and unprecedented) that Saad earned two!

Please join us in congratulating Saad for his remarkable performance, hard work, and dedication. The posters and titles are listed below. The first place award on cholangiocarcinoma has been accepted for publication in CANCER.
